I had this image kicking around since the Fall of 2007 so I decided to include it here before it disappeared into the cyber ether. The image depicts the beautifully colored fall foliage of the Sourwood/Sorrel Tree or Oxydendrum arboreum. As the tree ages the remnants of long pedicels of white, lily-of-the-valley like flowers additionally grace this plant.
