This is an image of a mature African Violet - Saintpaulia ionantha. From a rooted leaf cutting to flowering plant takes about 8 months in duration. Once the plants reach this stage they will flower for several months uninterrupted. Remove dead flowers and leafs with sterile, small scissors making a pruning cut close to the base of the plant.
