My neighbor travels quite frequently and when she goes on a trip she leaves me plants in exchange for keeping an eye on her place while she's gone. She went to Austria most recently and left me this Amaryllis plant which burst on the scene several days after she had left it with me. I thought it would make for an interesting subject so I photographed it.
