Photographing plants can be difficult at times because the photographer endeavors to capture the positive attributes of the subject. I have been trying to successfully photograph a Sourwood tree for years each time the subject seems to elude me. Here's one of my better shots of this particular plant - Oxydendrum arboreum. I rate this plant right up there with Flowering Dogwood - Cornus florida. Sourwood leaves are used in natural medicine as a diuretic, antiseptic, benign prostatic hypertrophy and cystitus.
