This image is of a gas station/supply store up on the Chilcotin Plateau on Route 20. Thirty two years ago a traveller may not find another supply store for fifty or so miles. If you were accoustomed to living in the bush and had packed ample supplies this kind of place presented a good opportunity for picking up additional gasoline, a case or two of Molson, Demerara Rum/Canadian Club, and tobacco.
